Christina Linden for School Board Area E
My name is Christina Linden and I want people like ourselves to have a real voice on the school board.
I want to represent students and families on the San Marcos Unified School District School Board.
I have lived with my family in Twin Oaks Valley for over 10 years. During that time, I have been an active community leader and dedicated school volunteer.
I believe that Volunteerism and Community involvement mean working together in concert with my fellow community members to accomplish the greatest good for Students and Families in our district. I was the Parent Teacher Organization president at Woodland Park Middle School from 2016-2018. Prior to that, a Parent Teacher Organization board member at Twin Oaks Elementary School and District English Learner Advisory Committee president.
I am Board of Directors Secretary for InBizLatino, and I have served on many committees for San Marcos Unified School District, such as the Local Control and Accountability Planning Committee and the most recent elections boundary committee.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Media from the University of Houston, and I worked as a media professional before becoming a community leader and advocate.
I want to be your voice for:
- the fair distribution of funding and resources to all schools;
- enhanced school security in the classroom, at activities, and online;
- full time resource officers;
- improved mental health resources;
- fair pay for all district employees regardless of Union affiliation;
- implementation a pay-to-ride school bus system available to all students; and,
- paid maternity/paternity leave for SMUSD staff.
My focus is on students and families first!
If you want a community leader on your school board who is accessible, responsive, visible, forward-thinking, and independent-minded, I am your candidate.
Let’s put our students and families first!
I appreciate your vote.
